Elizabeth (Liz) Winslow is the Executive Director of Juxtaposition Arts. Drawing on her background in public education and arts advocacy, Elizabeth is guided by a deep commitment to community-centered access to arts education. She spent the first half of her professional journey leading bold, student-centered programming, including founding a band program at Hiawatha Academies and revitalizing the band program at Richfield High School. Prior to joining JXTA, she served as Director of School Partnerships at MacPhail Center for Music, where she led the Project Amplify initiative, reaching tens of thousands of Minnesota students with no-cost, culturally vibrant programming.

Elizabeth is energized by building systems that create the conditions for creativity to thrive, and she is honored to do so at JXTA in service of young artists. A lifelong learner, Liz is often deep in a book or an audiobook she can enjoy while walking her dogs. She embraces any opportunity to soak up sunshine, and her many hobbies include running, gardening, and remaining active in the music education community.
