Responding to Covid-19
JXTA is prepared to supplement safe and sick time for our youth apprentices, artists, and team during these closures. JXTA currently employs 45 youth apprentices (70 annually) who are paid $12-$15/hour. Since most of our production work requires being on campus, we will see a reduction in client revenue until we are back up to full staff. Please help us raise $12,000 for two weeks of youth wages while we help our young people stay home and healthy. Your support at this time helps us ensure continual income for our staff and youth and young adult apprentices, many of whom are also helping to support their families. Thank you!
Build JXTA. Build the future.
We’ve launched the largest initiative in our history: a $14 million capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art facility at our current location.
Your donation employs emerging artists and designers and offers free, college-level arts programming for young people in North Minneapolis. Through a master/apprentice educational model, youth creatives are encouraged to practice innovative problem-solving skills while working on real-world projects in the creative economy. Each donation supports programming, art apprenticeships, supplies, technology, professional arts educators, staff wages, and other operational costs.
