Sankofa: A Juxtaposition Principle

Sankofa, a word derived from Ghana, Africa, represents the idea of “returning to go forward” or “learning from the past to move forward.” In the spirit of Sankofa, we will physically pair our elegant attire with modern streetwear sneakers. Guests will celebrate the past, present, and future of Black expression through art, music, dancing, and community.
