Nesra Cummings is the development coordinator at JXTA. A proud alumna of Hampton University, Nesra considers herself a life-long learner who has a deep love for education and cultivating the next generation of leaders.

Nesra’s career began at Breakthrough Twin Cities as a teaching fellow, leading to five years as a 6^th grade teacher and grade-level chair at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. After transitioning out of the classroom, Nesra moved into the education technology sector as an account executive, providing mental health support to school districts across the country. Nesra’s career journey is varied but has always maintained a common thread: making an impact and contributing to a better world for our young people.

In her spare time, Nesra enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, attending live music shows or festivals, and reading.
