OUR 6-YEAR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

In 2019, JXTA launched the largest initiative in our history – Build JXTA: A Capital & Legacy Campaign to build a state-of-the-art facility. Over the course of 6 years, we hit the big number: $14,000,000 — celebrated the grand opening of our new campus.

Over the past 29 years, JXTA has been an essential hub for young people to build their creative careers and futures. Now, thanks to our generous capital campaign funders, our new building and campus – a direct result of this capital campaign – will make that a reality for future generations to come.

2023 marked the Grand Opening of JXTA campus. It brings the opening of our brand-new headquarters, updated community and teaching space, and a one-of-a-kind archive and library, thanks to the success of the capital campaign.

Funds were contributed from a variety of foundations, corporations, individuals, events, and government funding.

The $14 million paid for:

  • Demolition of old buildings
  • Construction of the new building
  • Equipment and furnishings
  • Programmatic expansion
  • Reserve Fund

Thank you to all who contributed; you’ve invested in the creative futures of youth in North Minneapolis! Together, we have created a stronger cultural ecosystem for our region, helping to guarantee a cultural legacy and asset for future generations in North Minneapolis.

We are grateful for your generous support, and we’d love for you to schedule a visit! Reach out to us at development@juxtaposition.org to schedule a tour.
