JXTA Graphic Design Lab and Textiles & Screen Printing Labs were hired to make t-shirts for a collaborative project between the Guthrie Theatre and Mill City Museum. The project aimed to highlight the Riverfront district and its significance for the Minneapolis-St. Paul community. Graphic Design apprentices Avahnii, Patricio, Mai, and Malee submitted design concepts to the clients; Avahnii’s design was chosen. With these designs, Textiles Lab screen printed the shirts on light blue and beige t-shirts. The shirts were sold to tourists and visitors in the Guthrie and Mill City Museum gift shops.
