Desiree Bogan wears many hats at Juxtaposition Arts, providing essential support across the organization. Her role includes assisting the board, managing office operations such as supply ordering and website updates, running the online shop, and supporting staff across all departments. Her work is rooted in flexibility, collaboration, and a readiness to step in wherever support is needed. 

Desiree’s approach to her work is guided by a strong belief in lifelong learning. She views each new task as an opportunity to build skills and expand her toolkit, a mindset that is reflected in the many ways she assists different departments at JXTA. Before joining the organization, she worked at the Mall of America but was seeking a role that aligned more closely with her creative passions. Through Step‑Up, she was placed at JXTA and quickly found a workplace grounded in artistry, purpose, and community. 

Outside of work, Desiree enjoys reading, sewing, and watching lots of television. Fashion is one of her favorite artistic mediums, and she often expresses her creativity through garments she makes herself—pieces you’ll frequently see her wearing around JXTA. Her JXTA superpower is her flexibility and genuine kindness, bringing care, empathy, and support to her coworkers while recognizing that creativity is shaped by lived experience and that everyone shows up differently.
