After the completion of a custom mural commissioned from visiting Bronx-based artists Tats Cru, we decided to give the mural facing it (on the south-facing wall of our building at 2007 Emerson Avenue North) a bit of an update. Taking the original concept and design, Contemporary Lab teaching artist Jordan Hamilton redesigned the mural with an updated color palette and overall composition. Apprentices in Contemporary Lab took the design and transferred into large-scale on the building wall, breathing new life into our corner on North Emerson and West Broadway Avenues.
