Creative Solution

In the spring of 2018, we announced a capital and legacy campaign to raise $14 million to build a state-of-the-art creative design headquarters. Instead of leaving the corner lot where our building used to sit empty over the next 4 years of this campaign, we decided to build the first skate plaza in North Minneapolis. Apprentices in Enviro Lab worked with designers and architects, as well as our partners, City of Skate, West Broadway Coalition, and UMN Landscape Architecture Department to design the plans for this unique and multipurpose skate-able art plaza. The plaza was constructed in spring 2019 and unveiled in June 2019.
