Creative Solution

In October 2020, BMO Harris Bank commissioned JXTA’s mural team to create a mural in response to the social unreast following the murder of George Floyd, to be displayed on the plywood boards covering the windows at their Lake Street location. Teaching Artist Alex Smith, along with apprentices Bereket Weddall, Makeda Parrish, and Elijah Buchanan created this colorful mural with acrylic and spray paints to represent the city of Minneapolis and our communities moving forward – together. The mural was unveiled with BMO staff and community members on October 27, 2020.
